If anyone doesn't remember the state of this car after a week in a MBZ recommended body shop here it is:
http://www.autogeekonline.net/forum/off-topic/59642-another-body-shop-nightmare.html

I took advantage of the summer-like mid 80s weather and attempted to reverse the body shop mishap.
Products used:
CG Citrus Wash
Megs C2000 Clay
Megs M205/Tangerine pad
Menzernia APO85RD/Crimson pad
Menzernia CL Carnauba Wax/Blue pad
All polishing was preformed with the Flex 3401
This is the first time I polished this car and I have to admit it was quite challenging. My goal was to preserve as much clear coat as possible.

CG Citrus/foam gun:

I first tried Optimum Polish 2 with the Tangerine pad but it didnt do much. I tried a yellow pad with the OPT Polish and then M205 but they left haze tons of haze. I tried D300/MF Cutting pad but it took way too long to get decent results. The Tangerine/M205 was the best compromise between cutting ability and leaving the least haze. I used 85RD to clear up micro hazing left by the 205. Overall it brightened up paint very well.

A few things I noticed...
*Menzernia CL wax is possibly the finest liquid wax that Ive ever used. This was the first time I used it and I noticed that it was easy on/off and looks unreal.
*Im not sure if this car has the Ceramic clear coat but its a bit finicky IMO
*M205 can be very powerful if used with the right combination of technique and pad. Im glad I didnt have to reach for the M105/cutting pad combo.

Nice turnaround. Looks good.

I have wanted to try Menzerna CL and this has pushed me into it. Next order may be full of Menzerna products...

Thanks for the kind words gents.

I've been slowly picking up Menzerna products over my last several purchases. I have yet to be let down by any of their products
