Have any of you had any issues using a 2000psi Pressure washer with the Foam Cannon? I'm about to purchase a pressure washer and I'd like to get the 2000 for other home projects but I don't want it to be too powerful for the foam cannon.

I have a 2500 psi and it seems fine. From what ive been told anything under 2600 is safe.

no need to worry at all, you'll be fine. The MTM hydro goes up to 5000 psi safely

I run a 3000psi 2.8 gpm pressure washer and my mtm foam gun no problem. If anything higher gpm/psi yeilds higher foam... (great idea for compaison thread wait for this weekend ill do it!) Buddy has a 1800 psi 1.4gpm elecric same water supply and it works well but not nearly the amount of foam my gas can generate.

My gas Karcher is supposed to pump up to 4400psi.

I made a pressure gauge that fits right before the wand and the most pressure I actually get is 3800psi.

I have tried using only 2000psi by turning down the pressure regulator and it produced lots of foam.
But, it produces even more foam, and thicker foam, when turned up to it's highest pressure. And the foam cannon has never blown up.

I have same the same specs on my PW and MTM foam lance. This is what I get out of it with just Meg's Gold Class:

Im not sure if your happy with your results or if your looking for more but to date honeydew and citrus wash and gloss are the two highest foam yeilding soaps I have used. (Mr pink is good as well but not as good as those two imho but smells the best... hense mr pink is my not so dirty dirty car soap)

Gold Class & Ultimate Wash & Wax is all I have on hand as far as shampoo goes. I consider the foam "decent" for a soap that isn't known for foaming characteristics. I plan on trying a few different CG soap flavors very soon. Thanks for the recommendations!

maxisuds is slightly better than citrus wash n gloss in my opinion for foaming. It foams just about the same as CWnG, but won't strip wax and is much cheaper.
