light scratches in black avalanche

Is it crazy for me who has no experience other than watching videos to try and remove these light scratches on a 2013 avalanche with a machine polisher. After reading so much on here on what to look for I see imperfections all over and want them gone. Thanks Im sure this has been asked a ton but need some reinsurance.

Well, you dont have any pictures so we cant see how severe or light your deffects are.

Why dont you start at step 1, and do a test spot with the least aggresive product and go from there? Everyone can recommend you X & Y product, but by doing a test spot first you can see for yourself what type and what level of abbrasiveness will work on YOUR paint system. Make sense?

You can wash and clay first then use a polishing pad and a polish with light cut ability like Menzerna SF4000. If that doesn't work then you might as well get a light cut pad and some compound like Menzerna FG400. That will lost likely remove all issues you may have. There are other pad and product combos you can use in between but its up to you and how much time you have to experiment.
