Above image, look towards where the panel meets the window (this is the front fender on my 07 GT).

Anyways I know the picture sucks, heres the thing the rest of the car is perfect. Just the driver and passenger side fenders have those crazy swirls.

I have xmt #1 #2 #3 yellow pad and orange pad etc.....

What do you recommend to get those micro type swirls out??

Thanks!

XMT 2 and a white polishing pad would take care of that. Have you polished this before? That looks like micromarring from an aggressive pad to me...

Yeah I've done it before but used XMT 2 w/orange and XMT 1 with white.

So I should use XMT 2 with a white pad now and what speed??

Speed 5 or 6 should be fine. It looks like the orange pad before left the micromarring and the XMT1 wasn't strong enough to remove it. So XMT2 with the white pad will be your best bet this time around.

Looks like some paint dont like the orange pad. No problems on the X3 and A4 i did, but my EVO didnt like it.

Yellow Meguiars pad and MG 80 or 82, PC speed 5-6 is an option too

So a yellow pad (wolfgang series) and xmt 3 wouldn't do good?

Or maybe XMT 3 w/orange pad?

I keep hearing mixed thoughts LOL I know hahahah... and I don't have a meg pad.

XMT2 and white pad will do, try it on your trunk to see if it works. Sometimes it takes some testing to see what works best, tryed 3 diff combos on the A4 before i found out what worked.

the only thing to take that out, unlike what many before me are saying, its XMT1 with a white pad. all of the xmt2 and orange suggestions are just going to remove what you have and create new ones.

you say you tried xmt1/white already, so your next line of action should be white with Pinnacle Advanced Finishing Polish. This polish is designed for this use.

optimum polish and a medium foam pad then finishing pad with the same polish. swirls go bye bye:p :p

This is where this thread comes into play http://www.autogeekonline.net/forum/porter-cable-7424-pad-forum/5739-why-aggressive-pads.html. You don't need to go aggressive with the pads or you'll get the above results. Using another orange pad or yellow, or more aggressive you'll just get more problems. This is why polishing pads are your best friends...
