Opticoat on Brake Calipers

So i have been reading this forum for a day now and have seen people are applying opticoat to they're brake calipers and are seeing great success with inhibiting brake dust build up. I am currently rebuilding a set of brake calipers to be installed onto my car. They're going to go out to powder coating in a week and have a ceramic powder coating applied to them. Is is a good idea to put a layer of opticoat over the calipers as well? Will the opticoat adhere to a ceramic powder coat?

Yes it will adhere and it will withstand the temps. While you will still need some agitation when cleaning, the amount of pressure and the strength of the cleaner can be greatly reduced. I only need ONR or Optimum Car Wash to keep my wheels and calipers clean since coating them. The coating cures with pretty much no pores and is very hard so it's not going to let anything get a hold and start to build up. Even when you do neglect cleaning duties for awhile, they will clean up easily.

As with most similar products the key here is to thoroughly clean the painted surface prior to applying Optimum Opti-Coat....

Thanks Chris, I'm getting my calipers back from powder coating this week and have a new set of wheels coming in this week. I'm guessing I should prep the surfaces with an IPA solution before applying opticoat
