Did this for a friend around Christmas time. It's a 2002 Malibu I believe and it was beyond neglect. Took 2 days of work and there were A LOT of defect that wouldn't come out. It turned out like a different car in the end though and it was more of a "how much of an improvement can I actually make" sort of detail than trying for a full correction.

M105 w/ orange Kompressor 6" pad (Makita 9227 rotary)
M205 w/ white Kompressor 6" pad (GG DA Polisher)
M21 synthetic sealant poly-charged w/gray Kompressor 6" (GG DA)

And ... he hasn't washed it since then. Like I said though it was more of a chance to practice for me and see how much I could improve it and he was pretty excited to see it lookin that way for the whole maybe week it lasted

Serious rescue job - kudos! How do you feel the M105 + rotary finished down? I imagine the horsepower was great, and it sure looks like the M205 did what you wanted.

The 105 finishes down really nice actually, just a little hazing but that's where 205 came in. It is a little finicky to work with though too little or too much is separated by a thin line. I still had issues on certain panels with it gumming but I just add a little more and make one more pass and it picks it up usually so I can wipe it down.

It looks great. You did a fantastic job. Your effort shows.

Sadly, looking at the very first pic of the door handle, I doubt if it was appreciated by anyone but you.

Yeah, he appreciated how it looked when I was done but I doubt he appreciated the effort I put into it. Like I said though I was actually kind of excited just to see how much improvement could be made. So the way I see it his car was just a giant scrap panel to practice on. :xyxthumbs:

Update hahaha man it's been a while since ive seen this car but we are stationed at the same base now and I had to take a picture and just shake my head. I asked him what happened to it and he said it had mud all over it and he had to get it off so he wiped it off with his hand.....geez and he even said "I dont even know what your seeing? it looks fine to me!"
