How do i clean and make the undercarriage shine on my jeep wrangler? I'm just getting into detailing and while I've read lots of tips and strategies to Make my paint look amazing, I haven't seen a lot on cleaning the undercarriage. I want all the dirt and grim on my shocks, coils, and all my other many items to look their best. The only things I've seen is pressure wash underneath and spray cheap protectant everywhere and let it just drip off for an hour then spray off. Please help!

a great product is Amsoil HD protectant. It really holds up well and protects those "rustable" components. Other than that, CG Bare Bones is great on the plastic parts.

I think the sprinkler idea was great. Tried it out and it knocked off a ton of old debris from the underbody. Then I hit it with simple green and then started the sprinkler again. My next question is what to detail it with. There's a jeep show coming up and I want the underbody and undercarriage to really shine. All the metal is dull and a few places have rust under there. I want the shocks, coils, and frame to really pop.

I always used WD-40 on my wrangler to keep it clean when wheeling. The WD-40 keeps the mud from building up and leaves a somewhat protective coating on everything. I believe it does have alot of basically mineral spirits in it so I would try not to soak rubber components.

I went a head and sprayed the wheel wells with undercoating makes it much easer to clean after wheeling. I have heard of spraying POR 15 underneath. Going to try that as soon as it warms up. I am not sure what I enjoy more getting it dirty or detailing it.
