Got asked if i could help a guy out with some scratches he had got on his BMW, not much, but the car is just months old and its not fun having a new silver BMW with scratches, so i said yes to help him out.

Told him it would take ca 1 hour, and 5 hours later im done. Lots of talking, and i showed him first how to wash a car the AG way.

The CK on the BMW is luckily "softer" than the Audi i did saturday/sunday, but some of the scratches was a little to deep to fully remove them, but you have to look real close in the right (wrong) angle to see them so ill say it went great...

As said washed:

GritGuard
Foam Gun
DP extreme (foam and bucket)
ShMitt
EZ wheel brush
P21s wheel gel
ShMitt black
and the Guzzler

He watched and i washd (he did the wheels) and hopefully he got a few tips:D

Polish was:

MG 83
Yellow megs pad
PC
MF

Did this only at the side he had the scratches, after that i applyed (on the same side):

DuraGloss 101
Beige pad
PC (i know this is a hand on only polish/cleaner, but i wanted to try the PC)

Did the hood with P21s carnauba wax (wanted to see how it was on silver: OK but DG 101 gives more "gloss") and the rest of the car got DuraGloss AquaWax (its the "one"--it rules)

Got one picture of the scratch, but is hard to see on the silver how it is. Not bad, but you surley could see it.

Finish

Not easy to see on the pics, but the P21s wax and the DG 101-DG AW gave different gloss/shine (more yellow with the P21s wax.) we both had the DG 101 as the nr1 choice (he will probably get the DG 101 for himself, and do the rest of the car later)

Thanks for watching/reading

Truls: Shame on you for showing a nice diesel that we can't get in the U.S.!!

Seriously, very nice job on silver. I like the ease of maintenance on that color (which is one of the reasons I bought a silver 330 Xi)

I'll bet the owner will really appreciate it when the sun shines.

Interesting BMW, and nice job Truls. That silver is stunning. I love the shots with the halos on in the headlights. The reflection of your red Evo off the BMW teases me, I love Evos. I showed my gf the AG way of washing the car and she was complaining how long it took. I was making her dip the mitt in the rinse bucket and she didn't do a good job with that, she barely touched it in the rinse bucket lol.

Very nice, the silver looks sharp. I know what you mean about seeing scratches on silver, my Lexus is silver and it's a nice color because it's easy to maintain but sometimes it's a pain to see the imperfections...mmmm...maybe it's a good thing hahahaha.

Dude you got some skills at taking pictures, all of the pictures look really good. I have always admired the headlights of the BMW's, gorgeous just gorgeous.

Thanks for sharing.

This 118d has a M-spec pack. far as i know its different front bumper and some more. Never seen it "close" before, so i was realy impressed. Didnt take any pics on the innside, but its ALL black with some alu (even the roof is black) The seats is insainly good. Its a realy cool looking car.

Biggest engine is 130i (268hp, 0-60 in 6 sec) Think BMW will come with a 135 (probably fast as a M3)

Here are some more pics of the car, and sorry, i dont have any one of the innside.
