I was wondering what you guys are doing for shampoo vs. water in your foam cannons. I was recommended 2oz Optimum Car Wash Shampoo with 8 or 9 oz of water (Roughly 5:1) to foam a single car and it worked really well! Shaving cream thick!

I am just intererested to see what everyone else is using. What do you guys consider wax safe ratios? I have Optimum/DP xtreme foam/DG901 etc.

I do whatever the manufacturer suggests, most of the time they know best.

CG Honeydew Snow Foam is by far my soap of choice!

In my foam cannon (Camspray), I used about 10:1 with Optimum. You can start low and see how it goes and add soap to reservoir if necessary.

In the MTM hydro I use 2 oz of soap (either CG Citrus Wash N Gloss or Maxisuds) to 30 oz of water. This is my result:

I use CG Citrus Clear in my foam gun and it works very well at a dilution ratio of 1 oz. shampoo to 16 oz water. I don't have a cannon but this is the ratio recommended by CGs for both foam guns and cannons. The ratios for use are shown here: Chemical Guys CWS_302_CLEAR - Citrus Daily Car Wash with Extreme Suds (1 Gal) (http://www.chemicalguys.com/Chemical_Guys_CWS_302_CLEAR_Citrus_Daily_Car_Wash_ p/cws_302_clear.htm)
