Often I see in the post how people can see when all the wax has been removed. Since wax is clear and is a very, very thin coat, how do you know when it has been removed? What do you see? Or is it something that you feel?

Wax retains a slick, glossy surface so normally I just rub the backs of my fingers on a few panels to check, when the friction starts becoming more and more apparent against my fingers and if the beading/sheeting of water is starting to show signs of weakening then those are enough indicators for me to put another coat on.

However, I do not re-apply based on the slickness alone. Sometimes the slickness will dissipate but it will still bead fine, IMO it just needs a quick spray wax for a boost at that point.
