Hello everyone,

I have a bottle of m100 and just did 3 up-down and 3 side-to-side passes on a Low profile Blue Cutting Hydrotech pad with a Griots GG on speed 6, wiped residue and put more compound and did it again the same way (so 12 total passes) and didn't get nearly the correction I wanted on my hard GM clear. Will M101 be a better alternative? They both say the same aggressiveness on the bottle, but some people have been saying how much more cut M101 has so I was wondering if anyone could lead me in the right direction?

Thanks,
Roshan

M100 is designed for a rotary. Try some M101 with a MF pad.

Do you have any MF pads to try with the M100? I'd be interested to know how it turned out. Do you have any 50/50 shots of what you've already did?

I do and I will try some microfiber pads next. And no sorry, its hard enough for me to see the scratches, let alone take a picture of it.

Try a MF cutting pad and report back. Did you prime the cyan pad? M100 is awesome for me thus far. M101 does cut faster, though.

I think M100 & M101 are the new big boys in town.

Agreed. I haven't tried M100 with foam pads, but it sure does kick a** with a MF pad! Wipe off is a breeze, and there's more working time than M105.

I think MF pads are the way to go when doing heavy correction with the DA, and foam pads for lighter polishing compounds. At least in my experience, thats worked out the best for me.

Keep us up to date on that. I'm dying to get ahold of some 101 myself. Figure I'll have to grab some MF pads while I'm at it as I've got some type 2 water spots on my wifes Denali that I'm either going to get out with 101 or end up doing something nuts like unigrit on it.

well... it's winter here, but it's too hot and sunny right now. Have work from 4 to 7 so won't be able to do it today :(

didn't have to go to work today so I tried M100 with MF pad on GG on speed 4.5... didn't touch the defect. Tried 3 separate times, doing 6 passes each time. My arm speed was extremely slow: 1 inch per second or slower. The pad was primed properly and actually I got much less dusting than with a foam pad.

I'm starting to think that I'm looking at a paint defect. What I'm looking at may just be under the clear... I wish I could take a picture of it, but it's so hard! I tried a few times unsuccessfully. Guess I'll just have to live with it :/
