Not all of us have protective covers and as life would have it, we naturally get scratches on our radio face.

Here's how I restored the radio face:

First, a 50/50 picture showing the left side (untreated) and the right side (corrected).

And now, the video on how to do it yourself:

Note: Don't do this if you have a coated plastic piece.

Nice video!! Do you think tail light housing plastic would clean up as nice?

And how can you tell if a plastic is "coated"?

Most of the time a plastic is coated only if it is on something very expensive like a GPS unit or touchscreen.

You are safe to try on your taillights for sure!

If it doesn't work well on a taillight, you can often use a paint compound as a more aggressive alternative. However, Meguiars PlastX is very effective on plastic via hand, unlike paint polishes in my experience.

One clue is to look at the plastic at off angles. Coatings will demonstrate a prism effect or show evidence of polarization.

Right on, fellas!! I was worried about the TA taillights being dull in comparison to the (soon to be) super shiny paint! :)
