It's not often to have a 50 degree day in mid January in the Midwest, and since I was able to get customer lined up in very short notice, I decided to take advantage of the weather by getting the detailing supplies back out.

This awesome car belongs to a member of a local car enthusiast forum and it was in fantastic shape. It was dirty from the Winter conditions, but after a good wash, it was clear that the owner took extremely good care of this car. I examined the paint under halogen lights and found very few swirls and very few scratches. I was told that the car is typically taken through a touchless wash and left to air dry - a fool proof method of not introducing swirls into the paint, however a proper detailing is always a good idea several times a year to ensure the paint is protected from the elements.

I used mostly Chemical Guys products on this car because they never fail to produce great results.

^These are some, definitely not all, of the products used. All of which are Chemical Guys products(except the wheel sealant, mean to take it out of the picture). Great results every time!

^Thanks guys! EZ Creme + Black Light + V7 = Perfection. One of my favorite combos, so I use it often.

^I'm not sure I would call it "warm", but compared to the typical temps, 45 degrees felt nice.

Nice work! And you're right about the rare 50 degree days in the midwest in January.

Nice Work!

What was you process for the CG Metal Shine? That was a big turn-around on the exhaust tips!

^Thank you! High in the mid 20's today... back to normal unfortunately. :(

Nice Work!

What was you process for the CG Metal Shine? That was a big turn-around on the exhaust tips!
^Thank you. The process I use is very simple.

Step 1: Shake Polish
Step 2: Apply polish to microfiber towel
Step 3: Spread Polish onto working surface
Step 4: RUB LIKE HECK!
Step 5: Remove polish and inspect area
Step 6: Repeat 1-5.

All joking aside, I just apply by hand with MF towel. These exhaust tips were very stubborn, but it only took 5-10 minutes on each of them to get the results that you see in the pics. The owner commented on them when he picked up the car. He said he didn't even know they were chrome in the first place!
