Optimum microfiber Cutting pads and M105

Has anyone used the optimum microfiber cutting pad with m105 before?

Optimum MF pads work great with 105. For a bit less "dusting" you can add a few drops of D300. Like any heavy duty compound, make sure you follow up with a fine polish like M205 or other fine polishes. Then seal with your favorite sealant or carnuba wax.

I have used this combo before. Cuts fast, but can be dusty as mentioned.

I actually mixed in some 105 and UC with a little d300 I had left to make it go further. Ended up being a great mix for mf Opt mf pads on a rotary. Dusting wasn't an issue as far as I remember. Opt Hyper Compound and mf pad is another great combo for fast cut and gear gloss. Dusting usually occurs when the pad needs to be cleaned/too much product has been applied. I have found with misting the pad rather than adding more product keeps dusting down.

So total newb question.. Are these MF pads strictly for rotaries? Or can I use on my 3rd gen GG? I see there's a 5.25" MF disc so that would make my 5.5" backing plate slightly too large. :/

I have the 6.25 I believe for my flex 3401 with a 5.5 backing plate. They are great on da polishers. I have tried it many times with my flex 3401, was very interested to see if other people are having similar results.

I used my GG6 and the optimum microfiber cutting pad with m105 and had great results even thou I'm new at detailing. I used speed 4 as it seems the pads have issues at higher speeds and also used a small air compressor to clean the pad after each section. here are the results I got after following it up with m205 on a white pad I believe.
