I had an earlier post asking what swirl removers worked the best out of these three, menzerna, optimum, and poorboys. Someone replied that poorboys and menzerna were the ones to go with. My question now is out of those two which one do all of you think would be the better one to go with. I do like the way poorboys works, but I've heard a lot about menzerna. So before I buy anymore I want to make the best choice.
Thanks

I would hate to send you elsewhere, as we carry some of the best products in car care. I do find the Menzerna polishes (specifically FP, and PO85) to be the best POLISHES offered. That said, I can get equal results using Poorboys as a combo SSR 2.5 and 1.0 , and I dont find Optimum bad as it works longer than most polishes and thus allows more working time before drying. Optimum is the thickest of the group. XMT is also very user friendly and would consider a slightly easier to use Poorboys combo.

I've used both Menzerna (IP & FPII) and Poorboys (SSR 2.5 & 1) polishes. I've had great results with both of them and couldn't wholeheartedly choose one brand over the other.

I'd hate to buy from any other site either. I have all the xmt products, but I thinks poorboys works better. Is their any point in using ssr 3, or will ssr 2.5 work?

SSR3 is pretty abrasive. When I got my car back from the repair shop it was a mess. Swirls, hazing, scratches. They even left me a little present. A filthy chamois that felt like sandpaper. SSR2.5 & light cutting pad cleaned up most of it.

SSR 3 is serious business, I personally consider it a compound. 2.5. the correct pad, and speed will get most hard tasks completed fairly easily. (just dont rush it, let the polish do its work) Finish up with 1.0 to j ewel the surface.

How would you compare xmt3 to ssr 2.5.

Is the menzerna po85 the intense polish?

PO85RD is a VERY light polish used for finishing off a swirl free surface to absolute perfection.

quite strong actually, but Menzerna offers some of the best abrasives and they break down quite quickly and diminish into almost a finishing polish. With most Menzerna polishes you could actually get away with just moving to a sealant/wax. Thats why I use P085 ... its more agressive than FP initially but breaks down faster and has a higher final gloss rating that most finishing polishes. (to bad it was discontinued)

Will the PO85RD remove swirls.Should the PO85RD be used before your LSP?
