Demo Cars for Detailing Boot Camp Class (http://www.autogeekonline.net/forum/sign-up-saturday-detailing-101/59133-demo-cars-detailing-boot-camp-class.html)

Here's two of the cars I have scheduled for my students to work on during this months Detailing Boot Camp Class.

Carlos's 1964 Chevrolet Panel Delivery with Barn Doors
This Panel Delivery is completely swirled out so everyone is going to learn how to use the Flex 3401 to remove swirls and create a true show car finish.

And to learn how to use the Microfiber DA Correction System I'm working on either a brand new Jaguar or Audi.

This Jaguar has holograms throughout the finish, all I have is a cell phone picture of it...

The Audi is black and filled with cobweb scratches. Don't have a picture of it yet...

These classes filled up quickly, my next classes are May 4th and 5th...

May 4th & 5th Detailing Boot Camp Class (http://www.autogeek.net/detailing-boot-camp.html)

One thing that's really cool about my classes here at Autogeek is because we're continually bringing in new producs, even if they're not listed in the class schedule, if they're hot products I incorporate them into the class on the fly.

For example at this upcoming class everyone is going to get a chance to test out some of these cool new products...

Optimum Opti-Erasers

Sonax Fine Abrasive Paste and Nano Polish

Menzerna FG 400

Nanoskin Autoscrub Pads on multiple tools

Nanoskin Autoscrub Wash Mitts

SpeedyPrep Surface Prep Towels

And you never know what else might be in store by the time the class dates get here...

This Impala will be a great example of how to wetsand using #3000 and #5000 discs to remove swirls and then finish out using a rotayr buffer. You can see more pictures of it here,

Thanks...

I strive very hard to go beyond just making them educational but to also make them fun and memorable by having cool cars in real world condition to work on instead of rental cars.

Most people never get to touch these kinds of cars in their normal lives.

For our third vehicle for this upcoming Detailing Boot Camp Class I'm in talks to get a local Taxi company's Airport Van.

Nick, Jason, Bobby and I took this van to the airport for SEMA this year and it can use a good interior cleaning plus an exterior detail job.

This will be a perfect training vehicle for learning how to use extractors plus the microfiber DA Correction system for "Production Detailing:

***Confirmed***

Tom, the owner of Tom's Taxi will be dropping off his airport van this weekend for a full interior detail including dry and wet extraction. We'll also be machine polishing the paint using Microfiber Pads and the new SONAX Fine Abrasive Paste and Nano Polish and then applying the Polymer Net Shield.

And we'll be restoring the headlights and machine polishing and coating the windows.

Here's a before pictures I just took out in the studio...

The interior is not horrible but ewww.... so many people "touching" everything. It's going to get a real good cleaning.

Hey! I did the class in September with Mike and Nick (AG Price guy).

All I can say is that Mike is by far the best instructor I have had the pleasure to work with, the 20 hours of class went by so fast. The info is a brain dump from Mike to everyone in the class. Buckle up and be ready for one very exciting weekend of learning proper technique and tools for the job at hand. I have never wanted to take a class/course over, but this is one that I would do again for sure!

Enjoy the wetsand, cut and buff on the 63 chevy and those floor mats and carpet on the taxi look like fun times with an extractor. Enjoy the time and buy Mike's book, I personally reference it often when I have a question about something I don't deal with on a daily bases.

Good luck and listen, watch and most important is jump in and practice on Mike's demo cars.

Hey Paul, thanks for the kind words... detailing cars and showing others how to detail cars is my passion in life...

Good luck and listen, watch and most important is jump in and practice on Mike's demo cars.

Paul's right. The most important thing a person can do at one of these classes is to jump in head first and work with all the tools and products. Nick, Ray and I will do our best to make sure everyone stays busy but it's also up to each person to not be timid but step up to the plate and get your hands and mind busy.

The Panel Deliver and the Impala have arrived...

I'm going out to the classroom right now to start setting up all the different products you're going to use to work on these two cool cars.

For all the people in this industry that I sent the link to this thread...

IF you don't circulate the water before using the line will be cold and your initial water coming out of the extractor will be cold.

Here's all the tools we'll be using to sand down the 1963 Impala... Rental cars, hoods, cookie sheets area all good and I've used all of these over the years but nothing trumps a classic or streetrod for hands on training and real-world experience, not to mention fun!

http://www.autogeekonline.net/gallery/data/1723/2013_Jan_Detail_Class_018.jpg

After sanding everyone that attends will be cutting the sanding marks out using the new Meguiar's M100 Pro Speed Compound with rotary buffers and wool pads.

Oh and "yes" this is a SS model, never mind the swirls to the right, we'll be removing these...

http://www.autogeekonline.net/gallery/data/1723/2013_Jan_Detail_Class_020.jpg

We're going to wash this Impala using the Nanoskin Wash Mitts and then decontaminate using IronX.

http://www.autogeekonline.net/gallery/data/1723/2013_Jan_Detail_Class_021.jpg

For the Panel Delivery we're going to decontaminate using Nanoskin Autoscrub pads on a variety of DA Polishers...

http://www.autogeekonline.net/gallery/data/1723/2013_Jan_Detail_Class_023.jpg

Then we're going to use Flex 3401's with Hybrid pads in both 5" and 6.5" with Pinnacle polishes and then machine wax...

Back out to the garage to set-up for convertible tops, interior detailing and using Microfiber Pads with the new SONAX Fine Abrasive Paste and Nano Polish to shine up the Airport Van.
