Two problems in applying during winter: Minimum 68 degrees and 48 hours cure time. If you have a heated garage then your good to go.

EXO is amazing stuff. Be sure temp of the PANELS it's being applied to are above 68 degrees F and the surface is properly prepped and wiped down, and you'll be amazed at the stuff.

+1 on the heat.

If you don't have it in the correct temp window, it washes off within 2-3 washes.

I am on the post about it

As a coating and what it can do, I love it! I have never had something that was so easy to go on, looks great, and lasts a crazy long time. Plus it beads and makes winter washing a breeze.

The part I dont like with it generalizes all semi-permanent and permanent sealants into one category. You dont need to wax or use a paint sealant with it. I dont like products like this because I have a large assortment of waxes and sealants, and I switch it up every 6 weeks or so.

So all in all, its a great product, very easy to sell, but I like switching through waxes. I might take Exo off in the spring and go back to my waxes

Should be a great winter protection.

I can only compare to Collinite wax for winter protection.
Exo may be expensive for a few months of protection

The reviews I've read on Detailing World seem to indicate that it isn't as hard (scratch resistant) as C1. It also appears to be more susceptible to chemical degradation.

That is absolutely correct. Don't think of it as a protective coating, but rather a permanent wax.

This can be a problem down the road for GTechniq: people disregarding the instructions and paying top dollars for the product can become an explosive mix...

That's why I have never coated my cars up till now: the LSP application is the most gratifying part of detailing...at least for me!
