removeing road paint

down in florida working on my brothers tacoma and he has some form of grayish road paint on it that been on there a long time,plastic razor blades dont touch and was looking for a reccomdation on what i could use to loosen up the road paint splatter.

Two things can work:

-Aggressive compound via wool and rotary

-Aggressive clay or clay substitute

Avoid paint thinners, depending on the colour of the car, toyotas sometimes don't have a clear coat.
