I received this as a gift from the wife, she picked it up off of bogo to go with my dodo christmas

Very high expectations for this soap, as I'm a fan of Dodo Juice..
initial impressions, seems pretty gooey, I'm hoping for super concentrated, later to find out 5-7 caps for a large bucket, I used 5-6 caps for ~4 gallons of water
http://i857.photobucket.com/albums/ab134/Elias101a/Drews%20Detailing/50BC6DBE-F263-4652-8FEA-6D93BA52DBBC-712-0000004B9AFFBBDF.jpg

good-great suds, surprisingly not really any scent or odor, was expected an awesome smell coming from dodo juice, lubricity was good, cleaning was pretty good, the biggest plus for this soap is that it hardly spotted / streaked at all once it dried granted, it was cloudy (not sunny) and ~40 degrees
wasn't super sudsy like I prefer when washing the vehicle
(see chemical guys citrus wash and clear for reference in below picture)

Final Thoughts.. :buffing:
I enjoyed working with this product, much better than Meg's #62 and gold class, I hate those washes.
However at $13 I don't see it being the best bang for buck, as my wash and gloss never seems to diminish as I use 1 cap of it per 4-5 gallons and it has excellent cleaning power, suds, and lubricity.
So... DoDo juice wax-safe wash is a great product, would I recommend it? yes. Would I recommend another soap such as wolfgang autobathe or chemical guys wash and gloss (or clear) first, yes.
So all in all, great product but I'd like to see a lower price tag w/ higher concentration (granted I'm spoiled with chemical guy washes)
Thanks for viewing! :dblthumb2:

Dude when I see your mustang and then see another one the same color they all look like they were washed with sand paper. Your paint is in immaculate condition. Always look forward to reading your reviews!!! Keep cleaning man!

Thanks! :dblthumb2:
Honestly, I love Mothers wheel+tire cleaner, it's an awesome product, it's not the best bang for buck compared to something like diablo wheel cleaner by chemical guys, but its versatility is unbeatable imo

Also I appreciate the kind words :D
lol you aren't alone on that one! I definitely see some tarnished sonic blues, I have a buddy who recently joined the site -> papasmurf his is sonic blue and he's currently reviving his paint with the Meg's MF system so watchout for his writeup coming within a month or two
Thanks :xyxthumbs:
always clean! lol :buffing:

With 4 gallons of water, you should have used 1 1/4 ounces of soap. With your capfuls, seems like you uses to much. Nice write up, though.

I have this soap. IIRC, you're supposed to dilute it 1:400. :)

//////// Foam Cannon Update
(if a mod can please add this under my initial review that'd be appreciated)
http://i857.photobucket.com/albums/ab134/Elias101a/Drews%20Detailing/null_zpsa8e75dc6.jpg
Decided to put this into the foam cannon yesterday, I was impressed, it worked better than I expected it to, used it @ 2.5 oz
http://i857.photobucket.com/albums/ab134/Elias101a/Drews%20Detailing/Writeups/null_zpsa16c758b.jpg
It wasn't as good as chemical guys honey dew in the cannon, however it performed well, it was thicker than I expected.
It did not cling nearly as well as honey dew, however honey dew almost clings too well making rinse off more labor, I could see this being great if your car is mildly dirty, mine was filthy however I planned to follow with a hand wash after regardless (Used mr.pink review on that coming as well)
so would I ever recommend this soap for hand washing and or foam cannon use? No, its not a good value. It's not a bad product and works well, but they're are better options for price and performance. Dodo nailed it when they called it basic.

That is a lot of foam on the car and the concrete.

I wonder how Basics of Bling compares to Born to be Mild. The write up says BoB is a simpler wash. The dilution is less than BTBM. (400:1 compared to 800:1). What was the ratio of soap/water in the foam cannon?

Have you tried BTBM in a foam cannon?
