I recently took ownership of an AR Blue Clean AR388 pressure washer. It comes with a poor attempt at a foamer which does very little even when using Honeydew snow foam. This version is just the updated case design of the AR 383. Anyone here use this pressure washer with any of the after market AG foam cannons? If so what adapter did you use? It looks like a Lavor fitting. If anyone can confirm this let me know.

Here is what I found on a forum:
Unfortunately there would be no way to make the foamer attachment compatible with the AR383 pressure washer. AR uses a unique size/type connection and only AR accessories are compatible with AR machines. Your best option would be to contact AR directly and see what they would have to offer you. AR can be reached at (800) 893-4235

There is no adapter for AR. The simplest method is to buy a karcher replacement gun and attach to AR and of course get the karcher adapter.

Or return it.

I was trying to avoid using my gas powered Craftsman PW just for my cars in winter but that may be the easy out for now. I did get a response from Tom at AR, they are making their own adapter to get their pressure washers into the foam cannon market. He said about 60 days before they hit their website so we shall see. He also said the 1800 PSI rating is a typo. The case has changed with the 388 is what I was told. Thanks for the input guys. I was hoping the $149 delivered with their included foam canister would be decent. The PW seems to be great otherwise:bash:

Well... I created a video not too long ago for just this issue:

You're welcome haha :D

Hey i have that exact power washer and this is exactly what i did, parts should be easily available in the plumbing section of most hardwares.

Just want to say thanks again here as the AR Blue is just about ready to go. I went with the "ihaveacamaro" method and so far its just the wait for the parts, as correct as they are, to arrive. I like having 3 wands vs the original 2. For the price of the power washer it does do a really good job. The extra wand was only $20 shipped and the correct AR manufactured fitting was under $10 for 2 shipped. (1 extra incase they are fragile) They look pretty sturdy though.
As I said earlier AR told me they will have the correct fitting into pipe thread or quick connect soon saving the cost of the extra wand. I just dont want to wait 30 or 60 days for it to be out.
Thanks

Has anyone tried this one yet? I found this before I found these threads, so not sure if anyone has come across this, or if everyone is still using different fittings?

I have the 383 also. Not a bad little PW. IT was given to me by a customer in partial trade for services rendered. He bought it for a specific project that his Dewalt 3600 PSI unit was waaaaayn too strong for. He used only the one time so it's pretty much new. I discovered the same thing when I wanted to use some of the accessories I have for other washers I've owned. None of the connections were compatible. And, although I don't have a foamer or cannon I was able to change out all the fittings to be more universal and got them all at ACE. Even changed out the hose connects to quick connects.
Nice, quiet little machine!
