The weights to balance a motorcycle tire are made to stick on the rim but when a new tire is put on the bike the dealers just pull the old weights off and stick on new weights. This leaves a residue where the old weight was on the rim. What is a good way to remove the old weight residue. Thanks

It sounds like an adhesive residue. If that's the case, 3M adhesive remover would be my go to product. If that doesn't work, then I would try wd-40

+1 3M adhesive remover. That's what we used when I worked at Discount Tire. Paint and CC safe.

I have always used WD-40 and some elbow grease on our bikes. Never had a problem taking the residue off of the wheels whether they were painted, powder coated or polished.
