Hi,

I was wondering if there was a sealant or wax to protect underhood aluminum? Mine is already pretty clean I just wanted to protect it. The item I had in mind was the exhaust manifold. It is made of uncoated aluminum. Some of the products I have are Rejex, Wolfgang Deep Gloss Paint Sealant, Opti-Seal and other various waxes and sealants. Can these be used or would the heat just burn them off? What about for my other aluminum non exhaust parts that might not get so hot? Anything I can use on them?

Maybe this product:Sonus Aluminum and Chrome Sealant, metal sealant, wheel sealant (http://www.autogeek.net/sonus-chrome-sealant.html)

I also have carpro dlux which Cory said in a review that it can be used on all metals and has a heat range of 800 degrees. I guess that might be my best bet.

Also I am wrong it is an intake manifold so maybe a sealant will do?
