hey guys;

as ive stated, i love the optimum polishes and find they do a great job, but i find the HC to be a bit light at times to correct some deeper scratches with my DA (flex now).

I still have some WG TSR laying around (and wont have time to order Opt Compound II in before i do this job), and thought it was a great product. this week while im off work, im going to correct/polish and OC my tailgate from my 2010 black Ram (previously OC'd everything except tailgate due to time).

how do these two compare in cut ability.

Based on the polishing chart I have TSR is a 7 out of 10 on cutting and HC is an 8..... so they are very close.

is that the autogeek chart?

if it is out of 10, im going to say i find the HC is not that aggressive (on the da at least).

im going to try it on the rotary...thanks for looking at the chart though!

Here is the link to chart: http://www.auto-geek.net/charts/wax-chart.pdf

It is on the main compound & polish page. Swirl Removers, Compounds & Car Polishes: remove swirls with swirl mark removers, scratch removers, spiderwebs, car polish, rubbing compound, (http://www.autogeek.net/swreandpo.html)

thanks Troy

i did see that chart, but IMO, the author was a bit generous on the cut of HC and TSR for that fact...unless it is based on rotary, i have a hard time getting alot of cut on a DA with either product (although both are excellent).
