I'm looking for a car brush that wont scratch or bang the car as I wash it.
Toothbrushes and many kitchen tools are made from two types of plastic molded together to make a single item. I imagine a brush where the head is surrounded by a soft plastic that will protect the car while the center harder plastic holds the bristles.

Has anyone seen such a brush?

I have seen this online:
Rubbermaid® Roughneck® Vehicle Brush (X257-06) - Washing Brushes - Ace Hardware (http://www.acehardware.com/product/index.jsp?productId=1279703&cp=2568443.2568455.2629364.2631167.2631174)

but I'm not sure if that black rubber band is soft or not. Also I'd rather have a round brush rather than a rectangular one.

Thanks,
ww

If you like those type of brushes check out the Montana boars hair brushes from autogeek, they have a vast selection. You don't like hand washing mits? What kind of automobile are you washing?

I'm washing a Nissan Xterra. Hard to reach without a brush on a stick, so I'm looking for a brush with a padded head. Not a hard head that will bang into the car body as I wash.

Thanks,
ww

ok. being a xterra owner the roof does suck to clean. i just get up there with a step ladder and my wash pad. i do have a meguiars long handle brush that i will use on the roof from time to time. i just made sure i sealed the roof and rack with blackfire crystal seal.
