Greetings, my father just bought a 2013 accord. The car came with some cleaning products them dealer suggested Be only use with the car.

They weren't any brand I've heard of. I assume the same products most of us use on a daily basis can be used on the 2013 accord? Seems like a dumb question, but just making sure. I can't imagine otherwise.

Any idea if accords have soft paint? If so, is there anything in particular which should be done when detailing the car?

Thanks in advance.

Dump all the crap from the dealer and buy the following products - I detail accords and honda stuff primarily and also have a 2013 Accord Coupe.

1. search here and learn to clay the car
2. then using a random orbital - or by hand- wax on and wax off BLACKFIRE TOTAL POLISH AND SEAL
3. wait 4 hours and wipe on 2 coats of BLACKFIRE CRYSTAL SEAL - 4 hours apart.

You will be amazed at the gloss. The products are avail here. My car:

thank you sir....for the pros here, I just ratcheted up the gloss two notches by stripping and using a DA, Menzerna 4500 and a grey pad...MONSTER gloss......before more CS....

thanks, that's one nice looking accord. I really like the redesign on them. I actually have the products you mentioned in my arsenal so I can give my dad some of those.. Does anyone know if the honda paint is soft? I thought I remember reading on here it was. If so, what is the procedure for soft paint?

forget all that soft /hard paint stuff, it does not apply in your situation - it polishes up fine....honda's paint is soft but it's actually the hard paint like MB that requires diff methods...

Damn Glen, even your driveway is polished because in the one pic you can see the entire wheel in the ground, LOL! Love the "tweaks" they did to the new Accord and that color looks stunning on the car!! IMO the Accord is one of the most underated cars on the road from a looks stand point as well as perf w/ the V6 and you can still get a stick with it.

Keep up the good work, sure you will!

will do.. still learning :) thanks. By the way the Honda stuff is some program called "First Place Finish." sounds like a scam.

The stuff car dealers (gives) you with your car is usually sold to you. Ive worked at several dealerships and they sell the packages to you . When you buy the car they will use it to wash, wax, dress the interior, And in some cases use scotch guard on the carpet . That is an add on price of about 500 bucks witch is crazy. They will also try to tell people they'll never have to wax the car again . lol bull #### . Just throw that junk out and buy some products from form here at autogeek .

yeah I figure as much. again, it was given to my dad, I have tons of stuff from Auto Geek. I was just clarifying whether the crap was good or not and if for some odd reason it couldn't be used on the new accords.
