I see that I have some hazing on one side of my car. It is not oxidation, but maybe something to do with the color. Should I use m205 or ultimate compound or should I just wash it off ?

my phone is not working correctly, but it looks like this, except for more of the hazed part and less of the swirls, btw, this is not my car

I would start with the 205, you can always go more aggressive (105) if you need to if the 205 doesn't work as well......

I have an older audi which has a hard clear. You think 205 on a meguiars red microfiber would be fine?

Are you not using it with a DA orbital?

If it were me, I would try 205 on the area first, and if that doesn't do anything then you can go more aggressive with the 105. No use in doing the 105 first if it's not needed.

Crank it up to 6 when you do it, especially on a harder clear

I agree. Also they are probably from either improper washing or last time you polished you didn't finish down fine enough.

I would also use a polishing pad. When you say Meguires red I assume your referring to their cutting pad??

yes, however I am referring to the microfiber version

To me hazing is a lot of ultra fine scratches. Just makes the paint look dull not really like scratches or swirling like in the picture. Is that what your talking about or are they deeper scratches?? If it's what I described 205 and a polishing pad should clean it up...I've never polished with a cutting pad to know how it finishes...

Does the 205 finish LSP ready using the microfiber cutting pad??
