I got tired of tripping over my buckets and oil catches. They take up too much room to keep on my shelves. Having a bunch of stuff in a narrow one car garage, its sometimes hard to store all my stuff and my garage queen.

I came up with this idea:

I got everything at Home Depot for around $40. The extra space was worth it. Then I found this little stool at Home Depot. It folds up and can also be hung up out of the way.

Stool is great for when you just need a little lift, like a foot or so; or when its just uncomfortable to work on your tippy toes.

I think the stool was $10. It says it holds 300 lbs!

Also, last week it put if this shelf and bottle hanger to use free up some more space, and utilized some space that was being completely unused

Now I have a ton more shelf space and can buy even more stuff.

He, he, he... I think this was the true driving force behind your reorganisation!

Doubles as a MF towel dryer too. Another idea, I use wire shelving, the front lip doubles as a hanging space.

More space=more stuff.

Yeah, I love seeing workarounds like yours. I'm probably going to steal a couple since I'm in the same situation with limited garage space.

Good idea! I think I'll steal it. I'm always stepping on or tripping over "stuff" & I have a four car garage with upstairs.

That's a good idea.

However, I wouldn't hang those sprayer bottles like that because in my experience it will put a ton of tension on the sprayer from the weight of the liquid in the bottles over time and it will break the sprayer.

Good idea.

That is a great idea. Now you will have more room to work around your toy car as well as others.

I need to organze my garage now. Thanks for the idea.

Here's another one of my set ups. Werner Work Platform Hanger. When not in use, this thing takes up a lot of space.

I got the hooks a Home Depot for a few dollars each. I had to bend them so the platform hangs perfect, I think they were strait when I bought them. I use these anchors exclusively when hanging something in dry wall

I've tried several anchors with no luck. A lot of them spin or pull right out of the wall. This brand is awesome, I haven't had one come loose or fail. When you tighten the screw into them, they just seem to get tighter and tighter, almost like you are screwing into a metal nut. They look like this:
