Figured it was time to finally put some work into my girl's daily driver. We bought the car over the summer and it looked good till the dealers detail wore off.
The car was covered with swirls, and was in much need of a decontamination.
Since it was late and really cold outside i did all the work inside.
Products used:
ONR wash
Wolfgangs uber wheel cleaner
megs hyper dressing
nanoskin autoscrub (fine grade)
mothers clay
nanoskin shock lube
flex 3401
- 5" hybrid power pads
gg 3" polisher (for delicate areas)
- 3" hydrotech pads
optimum compound II
optimum polish II
CG blacklight
CG black wax
Here's the car before the wash.

Started off by presoaking the car with ONR sprayed on in a QD mixture
Then followed with a ONR wash. Then used the nanoskin autoscrub with the flex3401 to decontaminate the larger panels and mothers clay to clean the tighter spots.

On to the paint correction.
- Using the flex and a 5" hybrid power orange pad and optimum compound II i removed nearly all the defects (good enough for a dd)
- followed that up with optimum polish II on a white pad
Here's the paint corrected. Much better now.

After removing the defects. I tried out CG blacklight, and i was actually surprised at how it made the metal flake in the paint pop. It smells really good too! I put it on with the flex and a black hybrid power pad.
To protect the finish i used CG black wax. It also smells really good, and is super easy to put on and take off.
Here are some pictures of it all finished up!

It took about 10 hours to do. Well worth the work, it looks much better now.
