What would you use on a bumper like this? Can I use a PC with a pad, and polish?
What method would you use?

You could use a PC, but I think I would tape up the rubber with painters tape and do it by hand.

On chrome I would do it by rotory with a cutting pad and compound. You cant halogram chrome.

IIRC, those might be aluminum, clearcoated? CRS is setting in.

That tad bit of metal means do it by hand in my opinion.

Are they just faded uncoated aluminum? I thought polishing actual chrome plated finishes was a BIG no-no.

Ahh, a Wagoneer.
I had a 1980 Jeep Cherokee Golden Eagle (bought new) and if I remember correctly, yes, they are plated Alu Bumpers.

On my Waggy those bumpers always looked dull.
MarkD51,
Plated or clear coated, do you remember?
It's a beast of a vehicle for sure, that one looks in great condition!
