Just read your Hydo2 which lead me to this.

Nice car Nick. Great job whipping it into perfect shape. I like all the items you used ,too.

Great color, too.

So this Cquartz is like sort of maintenance free protection, right? So you won't be waxing , just using reload?

This year I'm trying 4* sealant and Vanilla Ice every 3 or 4 weeks. maybe I should consider this next year.

Thanks Nick

Great Job Nick! Car looks better now than it did rolling off the assembly line!!!

Thanks - I agree!

Wow that looks 10 times better than any brand new car at the dealership. Just look how beautiful that looks. Amazing work Nick. Great write up. How much does that UK edition goes for, if you don't mind me asking? I have a 2006 Dodge Charger Cool Vanilla and I am thinking in doing something like that to my car. Don't get me wrong, my car is always clean and shiny but I want to go the extra mile! Is that wrong? :P

If you want to "set it and forget it" then Cquartz UK Edition is definitely worth looking into.

As a matter of fact it is on sale right now - Cquartz UK Edition 30 ml. Kit w/ Reload (http://www.autogeek.net/cquartz-uk-edition.html)

Quality work Nick. Very precise selection of products, for a prestine glossy outcome. Congrats on your new ride!

Thanks!

Nick, incredible results and congrats on the new ride! It was nice to meet you briefly when I stopped by AG a couple weeks ago....in my new to me BMW 335i. Please don't misinterpret...had I known, I would have invited you to take the keys and go for a spin (or, just start detailing)!!

With the fantastic job you do at AG there is no doubt in my mind you'll have one sooner than you think! Incredible work...I'm still learning and loving every minute of it.

Next time you're up here I'm going to take you up on that offer!

Oops, forgot my question. Possibly an obvious newb question, but can a more traditional wax be applied over Cquartz, or would that be...Ummm...pointless?

You *can* but it's not really going to be beneficial. Most waxes/sealants have a difficult time bonding to paint coatings.

Nick guess I'm late comming to the party missed this thread. Awesome job looks great BUT the 24ct QUESTION is; Does it have air conditioning?

BTW you left lots of life in that Honda with 200K on it.

Yes it does indeed have air conditioning but I don't expect to use it that often (I prefer the fresh air :) )

The Honda still had plenty of life left in it for sure. The only reason I got rid of it is because the clutch went out on me (again).

Larry,

That is correct; Cquartz UK Edition only needs to be maintained with RELOAD (to amp up gloss, slickness and water sheeting over time).

Nick, definitely. Look for me at Detailfest (Sunday) - still on the fence about attending since I'm pretty sure it'll be like a trip to a casino for me - only bring cash and what I can afford to "lose". Credit cards stay safe at home...

:D
