How long does it take you on avg to detail a big truck? I'm talking polish, seal/wax, tires, and a clean interior. I love my truck but am jealous of people with cars when it comes to detailing. Also for those that own one, what does your maintenance consist of? You'd go nuts trying to keep a truck with a show finish. 14677

Black=full time job!
Keep up the good work, it'll take less time to do it properly than to keep redoing it.

She looks good.:props:

I normally break mine down into 2 days.

I never intend on given my truck a show finish, let alone trying to keep it. I wouldn't be able to use it as a truck then.

I know. I've been breaking it down to a couple of days when I do polish it. Chris, what do u do for your regular maintenance?

Just wash it wither either Meg's Gold Glass, CG Citrus Wash&Gloss, or ONR. Then hit it with a spray wax or spray sealant every now and then, Meg's or Wolfgang. This is mostly during the summer months.

Extended Cab F150 here. I much prefer detailing my altima. Although, it's true that "it's easy to bathe a clean truck". I clean it weekly w/ Meg's. Dry w/ squeegee and waffle weeve. I polished it recently to get 95% of the scratches out, but I have no desire to keep a show car finish.

If you skip detailing inside the truck bed, probably 8hrs with the right products and tools.

:iagree:About right. Takes me about this long to do full size pick up trucks.

Super Crew F-150 here and I can wash and wax mine probaly in less than time than it takes me to do my Mustang or the wifes Passat. Lots of big open space, goes smoothly. The other two, lots of detail...small areas to work around, bending over....etc...etc.

2000 GMC Sierra with 4/6 drop makes it a little easier to reach.

Weekly - CG Maxi Suds II, MF Dry, CG V7, Vac, Windows, Air Freshener.

Bi weekly - Wheel Barrels, Tire Dressing, Wheel Wax, Interior & Weather Stripping Protectant.

Monthly - Exterior Wax, Engine compartment plastics wipe down protectant.

Last Correction - Megs UC, M205, HD Polish, P21s = 10hrs

It's easier after the first cleaning.

It takes me 8 - 12 hours to do my F-150 crew cab, but I take lots of breaks. Once it's clean, clayed, and the sealant is on, I let it in the gaage overnight and then put a coat of carnuba on it.
