Hi all,
I noticed on my 7424XP, the speed dial seems that it has small incremental indents in between the speed numbers on lower numbers, that one can easily select say a speed of 3.5, but when I get to 5, and 6, it appears that there is no detents between these two speeds.

That the Dial will set to either 5, or 6 but will not stay in between those two settings. that the Dial will either "fall" to 5, or 6, and not in between.

Is this normal for the 7424XP? I see mention of people talking about "set to 5.5", but this doesn't appear doable on my one month old PC, and was never able to set to such a speed from day one. A faulty Speed Dial? Thanks, Mark

No detents on mine 'tween 5>6.

I kinda think someone brought this up awhile back, and the consensus WAS NO detent between 5 and 6.

I notice the same thing, and was also curious about this.

Thank you folks for your replies, and input on this.

Shortly after I posted, I then remembered a search feature here, entered "Speed Dial", and there were some earlier posts pertaining to this issue.

That indeed there is no detent betwen speed 5-6 on the PC 7424XP. Sort of a shame, as such a hypothetical speed setting would probably be regularly used, and an ideal speed for this machine. Thanks again, Mark
