So I dont have a camera (I have been using my cellphone lol) or a lot of money and I have been eyeballing this camera for a while. The Nikon L310. I can get it for 100$. Is this a good starter camera (my budget is 150$)? I would love a DSLR like the rebel or nikon D80, but its simply too expensive....

anyways heres a link to it and some pics....

It looks like that's a discontinued model, although that may not matter to you.

I was looking at the L810 and the Sony DSC-WX150. I asked my cousin about them since he works for Nikon in the UK and he told me to go with the Sony. Here are his words:

"Between those two cameras, I'd get he WX150. The L810 is the basic model of "bridge" cameras, if you want a good bridge camera go for Nikon P510, Panasonic Lumix FZ-48 or Canon SX40.

Ah and the L810 runs on AA batteries!! It has its advantages but it´s a bit of a pain.

Get the WX150. Nice and small, and 10x optical zoom is quite good for the size of that camera!"

Unfortunately all of the ones you mentioned are out of my price range...150$ is my limit...Id love the Nikon P510 but its double my budget ( I want at least a bridge camera if not a DSLR)...What do you think about the camera I had listed?

If only someone with an extra DSLR was in need of a Flex PE14-2...wink wink lol

I'd say go for the L310 if your budget doesn't allow for more. I couldn't tell if it takes AA batteries like the L810, but if it does you can use some of your savings to buy some rechargeable Enerloop batteries and charger from Amazon.

Nikon has a great reputation and with 21x optical zoom and over 14MP, you'll be fine until you and your budget are ready to step up to a DSLR.

Make sure to take some detailing shots for us when you get it!
