Do a search for Meg's #7 glaze and you will find a ton of info on how to use it on single stage paints. Mike has a nice write up about it and there is also a thread about a late 70's early 80's Firebird in which the owner follows Mikes advice on Meg's #7 and documents the entire process. Came out awesome. Bottom line is apply let soak in several hours and then remove, process may need to be repeated depending on paint condition and desire look.

i have experienced a combo of #7 and #80 on my car. the end result was good, but after i had applied the #7 the paint got hazy, but it looked excellent after the m80. is it normal for it to be hazy or did i not work it into the paint enough?. i used the blue 3m towel (pn50486) to work the #7 into the paint.

going back to the main topic, i feel that it is not quite oil starved to require #7 (just my opinion), i believe it needs an abrasive. do you think the #7 will still help?

i feel a difference in reflectivity of the three pics, btw can you post a pic of a paint job before and after the #7, i want to confirm if it is okay for it to be a hazy or not and the reasons for this

I'm a huge fan of M07, but IMO it's not what you need at this time. From your pics and description, I see a fresh paint job that hasn't yet had a proper polishing. if you have some M80, it's worth a try on a test spot, but you may find you'll need a more aggressive product/pad combination.

Check these threads out.

I would apply #7 with a soft foam applicator and remove with a quality MF towel. You could try a light all in one cleaner wax too.

My apologies, wasn't able to view photos until now. Agree with Bill; thought you were trying to restore a SS paint. Didn't have my coffee yet.

This beater is a 4x4 work truck.
Primer and bare spots were covered with finger nail polish by the owner.
I started this project yesterday and hope to get the polishing done today...maybe even the Poli-Coat. Waiting for the fog to lift and the temps to rise to get restarted.

I have no real knowledge of SS paint restoration.
Polyseal was used on the right half of the hood w/o a tape line.

The plan is OPS, DP Poli-Coat, 845. Like I said, it's a beater.

First pic before wash.
Second and third after one pass OPS.
I'm not in your league of paint restoration...I sell whatever the customer wants. In this case, a little bling.

Edit: missed the repaint line also:o

actually the bus is 1500 km away from my location so there is not a chance that i will be able to go there to test m80. the owner can order from amazon once we finalize what is best to do.

is it okay to apply wax between m7 applications, the bus might be parked in the open and in the morning we can see some water condensed on vehicles so just want to be careful.

My bad for interrupting you paint pro's thread...I was estactic with the results that I was seeing from the day before. I guess that I need to pay more attention to when you guys post.

2.0 on SS will eventually oxidize. I follow the Malaysian hands blog fervently.{{and anything Optimum.
