Either product can be used but i think D300 is less dusting or that was its design along with the microfiber disc

D300 is less dust but not by much.

D300 is wayyyyyyy easier to remove and has a longer buffing cycle. Great stuff for sure! I don't use M105 anymore. If D300 doesn't cut it, I go straight to M101.

I agree. D300 is a dream to work with compared to M105. If I need a little more bite I will add a drop of M105 on a pad primed with D300.

Haven't tried M101 yet... that is next on my list.

Hi Mark,
Do you care to elaborate on your expereinces with M101 compared to M105 and D300?

I'm asking because I'm trying to guage buying a bottle of M101 or FG 400. I already have M105 and D300, but haven't used the D300. I may give it a shot tomorrow if the mood strikes.

Out of the 3, I continue to reach for the Ultimate Compound. Very long work time, little to no dusting. Cut is a little less than 105.

D300 works best with a DA and MF disc.
M105 works best with a rotary and either wool or foam pad.
They were designed that way.

I have now officially retired M105. I will mainly use FG400 for most of compounding needs and M101 for the nasty hard paint.

Too many parameters need to be right to use M105. In the compound category M105 is too finicky. FG400 and M101 makes M105 feel archaic.

I mix D300 with M105 to reduce dusting and increase work time. If more cut is needed then it's M101 and D300. Very seldom have I found a need for straight M101.All of this is with a mf pad on a da.Haven't had a chance to try the new Menzerna. I have tried HD CUT and it's very promising
