I have bought collinite for the first time in a recent order with some other stuff

collinite 845
two grit guards
mothers car wash 64 0z for 10 bucks seems good
mothers leather brush

I was wondering what is the best way to get collinite from its chunky stage to its thin useable consistency. I have heard putting it in the sun or wacking it and then shaking it is good

any ideas?

I soak the bottle in a pot of warm water, NOT boiling hot but just warm enough to melt the wax, usually only takes a few mins

And that's the end of this thread.

PS apply it thin.

Place the container of the Collinite 845 in a pan of hot water. Gonna take some time to heat it up and then take it out of the water and shake the heck out of it and return to the pan until it thins out. Keep shaking it, (the container) as your using it.
Depending on how cold your environment it, ya may want to keep it in the hot water as well.

If it's room temperature, shake, shake, shake. If it's below room temp, dip bottle in warm water, then shake.

I use it all the time and usually a new full bottle is a little difficult to shake.

To make things easier for future use, once the original FULL bottle is liquid, I pour half into a squeeze bottle so it's easier next time. Now both the original bottle contents and squeeze bottle contents are easier to shake, works everytime !

That 1/2 bottle should last a LONG time, remember THIN is in...

Stick it in the microwave for 20 secs and shake

I have used 845 for years, shake it like it owes you money! Warm water works, but shaking it like crazy works great and faster. Microwave, never tried it didn't think the plastic was microwave safe.

I have never had to warm it up. I have never tried applying it below say 55-60 degrees and a good shaking of the bottle has always turned it to liquid.

I have it transferred to another bottle and never had an issue in the microwave for 20 secs.
I've also stuck my bottle in my back pocket for a few minutes will doing some other things and that will liquify it also.
