Good morning - new member here.

Recently purchased a 2008 Dodge Nitro - Electric Blue in color, with the R/T package & fully loaded minus navigation. 25k miles, couldn't be happier!

I decided to share a few pictures with you guys, and I hope I didn't over-due it; I just couldn't decide which pictures to share, and which ones not to..

Without further-a-do..

Tried to get a shot of the flake - a very "flake" heavy paint job when polished correctly.

Another attempt at a flake shot - rear quarter panel :

Thoughts? Comments? Suggestions?

I am trying to figure out what product(s) work best to bring out the flake the most. I've been reading some products diminish flake, while others enhance it.

Still have a LOT of reading and learning to do. Im the MAN :buffing:

Hi, thanks for the response. I'm not familiar with any of those terms. Can you elaborate for me please? Feed back please

Thanks for the suggestion! Any other waxes or sealants that will work well on a flake "heavy" paint job, so to speak?

:welcome: to Autogeek.

Finally another Dodge Nitro Owner. You will find that the Nitro will pop with most products. I have used the Meguairs Ultimate line of compound, polish and wax.

I have also used The Pinnacle XMT polish with the Liquid Souvern which produced excellent results. I have also used Poorboy's Pro Polish 2, Poor boys SSR 2.0, SSR 1 and Poorboy's EXP which produced excellent results.

I have also used Collinite 845 insulator wax after using Poorboy's Pro Polish 2 which produced a long lasting finish that was spectacular.

All have been used with a GG 6" DA and a Flex 3401. Both the DA polishers used 5.5" pads.

I have a 2011 Dodge Nitro in Deep Charcoal Grey.

Good luck with your ride and in making the finish perfect. Just so you know the paint on my ride is hard.

Ed

Maybe a AIO product will work for you.

Thanks! I'll take a look at the links later this afternoon. I have numerous tabs open, to read and eventually I'll clear them out when I get the time to go through each of them.
