View Full Version : How to clean clay?
I accidentally got P21S wheel cleaner in my clay and now it's crumbling apart very badly. I have tried to squeeze some of the product out but everytime I knead the clay, product still comes out in the form of cloudy dark water.
I don't want to waste this clay, any way I can save it?

wish I had an idea other then trying to flush it with H2O. other then that I don't know.

Leave it on clean water and rinse it often. Might not work, but it's worth a try...
I guess clay is more of a "use and throw away" kind of a product, right?
I will just leave it spread out in a tub of water, hopefully that will do the job. Just hate wasting clay!

Well clay picks up dirt and small setiments anyways, so if you keep using it too much, the same dirt may scratch or micromar your paint, which you don't want to happen. After it seems as if it'll be too hard to clean off, I'd usually toss it.
Thanks Dark. I actually have my "clean" clay (paint only) and then "dirty" clay which I use for the lower parts of panels, wheels, etc.

Do you think that if keep kneeding it, more of the liquid will evaporate?
It hasnt been mentioned, so hopefully ya'll are not using a whole clay bar but are tearing off sections to use.
