Tim, the owner of the '57 Chevy said his car is a "5 to 7 foot car" - Not for long Tim! :righton:

Mike is measuring the paint thickness with the Defelsko PosiTest DFT Combo Electronic Paint Thickness Gauge (http://www.autogeek.net/paint-thickness-gauge.html)

A post-it note is about 3 mils thick - the paint on Tim's car is reading 2-3 mils in some areas. Remember, always use the least aggressive method to remove swirls and scratches.

Mike is playing it safe by taping off the edges of the hood. The paint on this '57 Chevy is thin, thin, thin!

Let the machine polishing begin! The first step is Pinnacle Advanced Swirl Remover (http://www.autogeek.net/pin220.html) - a medium cut polish that finishes exceptionally well for the amount of cut it has.

Watch closely as Mike shows how to pick up your bead with a rotary polisher.
