I posted recently about my new Fiat detail. Last weekend I washed and waxed with Dodo Juice Diamond White. This was is designed for light colors not black like my Fiat. The Fiat back has flecks of color that I want to pop.

The finish looks good with the Dodo Juice. Today I drove in the rain and when I got home the car was practically dry! I'm guessing the Dodo Juice is responsible for shedding the rain so well.

This makes me want to try more Dodo Juice Wax. So my questions are:

1. Do you think the Dodo Juice Wax really sheds water that well?
2. If I get Purple Haze or Blue Velvet will that hide the flecks of color or make them pop?
3. Which would be better to try, Purple Haze or Blue Velvet?

Thanks!

I have a Dark Toreador Red Ford with fine metal flake. I've used DoDo Juice Rainforest Rub, Orange Crush and Purple Haze with excellent results. Applied with my fingers very thinly in two coats. It's my go to wax when I'm out and about on the town.

I've only used orange crush so far, but I really enjoyed that wax, with either I don't think you could go wrong, honestly I'd give orange crush a shot, makes my paint glow

but yes the juice shed the water, I doubt either will hide, you'll like both
I'd vote blue velvet out of those two

[QUOTE=Reddwarf;763860]1. Do you think the Dodo Juice Wax really sheds water that well?
as stated above, most LSPs will shed water due to either hydrophobic (beading) or hydrophilic (sheeting) properties. carnauba waxes are hydrophobic and will give great beading and water-shedding.

2. If I get Purple Haze or Blue Velvet will that hide the flecks of color or make them pop?
not sure what you mean by 'flecks of colour'. if you are referring to the flake or metallics then these will get more pop from using the Dark Colour-charged waxes. both the Purple Haze and the Blue Velvet are dark colour-charged and will give the same finish and durability.

3. Which would be better to try, Purple Haze or Blue Velvet?
Purple Haze is the soft wax [easier for hand application] and the Blue Velvet is the hard wax [ easier for use with foam applicator] so the choice is yours.

Thanks!
