Flitz isn't the first name I think of when it comes to detailing products. I really don't know much about them, except they are a company from Germany and AG carries some niche products that they make. Last week, AG had Flitz Speed Wax on BOGO. What better reason does one need to try it?

When it comes to spray waxes, I have many, including: Meg's Ultimate Quick Wax, Zymol Field Glaze, Poor Boys QD+, Pinnacle Souveran Liquid Spray Wax, Wolfgang Deep Gloss Spritz Sealant, Optimum Car Wax, 1Z Spray Wax, Prima Hydro, Aquawax, Eco Touch Quick Wax, S100 Detail and Wax, Chemical Guys V7, and Wolfgang Deep Gloss Liquid Seal if you want to include that one.
So, I've had a chance to try a variety of different products. However, some are better than others. Also, in my opinion, some are highly overrated. I had no idea how the Flitz product would work, but I really wasn't expecting a lot.
I was pleasantly surprised. Last night it rained/flurried here and this morning my otherwise pretty clean vehicle was left with water spots all over it. Since it was freezing cold this morning, I went to work at the local DIY car wash, because they have a covered bay to work in with a garage door that closes on one side to keep out the wind.
While I was there, I did what I call a "hybrid wash". This is when I use their pressurized water to spray down the vehicle to rinse off as much dirt as possible. Then, I spray the wheels down with wheel cleaner and clean the wheels with a Montana Boars Hair Wheel Brush and a Daytona / EZ brush for the barrels. After that, I rinse off the wheels to clean, then rinse down the vehicle with their "spot free" water.
After that I use their very impressive heated air dryer to dry the vehicle. This blow dryer is amazingly powerful, not to mention really fun to use.

Keep in mind up to this point I haven't touched the paint (except for the wheels). After that I do a waterless wash. This method works really well, as towels from the waterless wash stay pretty clean. This time I used the new Pinnacle Waterless Wash, an amazing product on its own. After that I gave the vehicle a quick spray wax with the Flitz product.
One thing I noticed about the Flitz Speed Wax is the manufacturers claims that it can mask light swirls

I was not able to test that function of the product, as the vehicle doesn't really have any swirls. However, this spray wax is awesome. It's pretty thick for a spray wax, maybe a little thicker than the Optimum Spray Wax. I has canuaba in it also. It's sprays on kind of yellowish. The smells is really bizarre. It's kind of a cross between dry cleaning chemicals and what a hair salon smells like. No fruity scent in this one - just chemicals.
The most impressive thing about this product is its ability not to leave streaks or smears. I always spray wax the side and back windows on my Pathfinder when I do the rest of the vehicle. To me, this is a true test of how good a spray wax performs. The windows are factory tinted black, and any smears or streaks show up right away on the glass. Most spray waxes require a rebuff with a fresh towel to become streak free.
I was able to wax the entire cleaned vehicle with one towel and no streaks. You pretty much spray the product, spread it out, and that's it - little if any buffing is required. This is fairly unique for a spray wax, as most of them can leave some streaks behind, especially on glass.
Let me give you an example. This is a side window that I just cleaned with the Pinnacle Waterless Wash ( which also leaves no streaks )

After I took this picture, I sprayed one spray into the window of the Flitz product:

Now you have to trust me on this one , but this is after one pass (left to right, then down, then right to left) of a microfiber that was already saturated with the spray wax

Its hard to catch glass on a picture, but the glass was left completely streak and haze free after one pass with a saturated towel. Most glass cleaners can't even do that!

So, needlessly to say I was pretty impressed with this product. It also added a great crystal clear shine to the paint (paint was recently waxed with BH Finis). This product feels pretty substantial when you apply it, and the manufacturer claims it lasts 2-3 months. Paint is factory 12 year old Nissan paint, that has likely been living outside for all 12 years.
