Hey guys,

Just thought I'd share some pics of my lastest project, tinted taillights. I really like the look I have now. I regret waiting this long to tint them. As it is, they are 02-03 TL tail lights that I bought (red/clear) that replaced my 99-01 tails (orange/red/clear).

Let me know what you think!

My biz partner just did his tails on his black Lexus, came out "ok", he got some black shrink wrap stuff made for lights that covers the shape witha blow dryer, didn't come out well. I told him I would have just used testers paint and done it myself but oh well, looks good untill your up close and can see the lines that aren't supposed to be there.

That's a nice tint job :) I prefer spray over overlays.

Hate to be a naysayer, but to each their own. I like the car with a more of a clean look to it. Its a clean luxury car, not a rice car.

Friends black M5 has black HRE's and blackout tails, looks sick. My old black suv I tinted the tails black, had clear side markers, and looked mean (and sounded mean with the ported heads and cam hehe).

as i appreciate your honesty, i personally love the new look. i dont think i have compromised the luxurious presence of the car, or whatever is left of it after 7 years. i think it added the "sport" it was missing in the sport luxury sedan (and i know its no m5 or e55). nevertheless, i have an AEM cold air, lowered on H&R springs, polishing, oversized ultra high perf. summer tires, headers, blah blah), so i feel that without aftermarket wheels, I have to do what i can.

thanks!

it looks good! but i think you need to do more stuff to the car to compliment the tinted tails if that makes sense. like maybe blackout the inside of the headlight housings and then some black rims with a chrome lip. that would really set your car off in my opinion. but it looks great!

looks good...now you need to get black faced rims to compliment them...
