I'm detailing my sisters car in a few weeks and noticed her trim looks terrible. There is some kind of mildew/mold all over it and I need the best way to remove it. I've tried hydrogen peroxide with no luck so far.

I was wondering if anyone has tried any products that worked well for them. Here's two that I was considering..

Duragloss Marine & RV Cleaner with Mildew Buster #541 removes mildew stains on gelcoat fiberglass boat and RV finishes. Boat and RV mildew remover. (http://www.autogeek.net/rv-cleaner-mildew-buster--541.html)

Shurhold Moldaway Mold Remover, boat mold remover, marine mold remover (http://www.autogeek.net/shurhold-moldaway.html)

Here's some pictures of the damage.

Yips!

Are you sure it IS mold? From the pictures it looks (to me) like paint failure of some sort.

Just to maybe get a handle on what it is, try putting a bit of household bleach on a rag and dab it one the most inconspicuous areas and see if that removes the 'stuff.'

I'm sure more folks will chime in with better advice.

These areas aren't painted. It's all over the rubber that goes around the back glass also, you can see a little bit of it in the second picture. I might try the bleach, but I'm scared lol.

Bleach will do it but it might discolor the trim. Like bill stated before try a out of sight spot first to see what happens.
