I am trying to figure out which color pads that I need to get. The products I have are Megs 105, Menz Power Finish, and Menz PO85RD. I will be using my Flex 3401 for about 90% of my polishing and only will bust out my Flex PE to get the real nasty stuff. I have the purple foamed wool pads so I am trying to decide between the orange, blue, and white.

When I am working on customers cars I normally do a one step with Menz PF with an orange LC flat pad. With the finishing ability of PF I move on to my LSP. I offer different polishing packages as well where I would use Megs 105 and PF for a 2 step, PF and PO85RD as a 2 step, and Megs 105, PF, and PO85RD for a 3 step. I dont want to buy pads I wont use so to suit my packages which colors would I need?

I was thinking orange (or maybe blue?) for the PF and white for PO85RD. A lot of my customers bring in some nasty paint but they only want a 1 step so getting the cut with a good finish is a big part of the color choice. Im hoping someone can confirm or correct me on this. Thanks!!!

I have them but havent put them through the wringer yet. I have the 5 inch setup that I use on my 3401.

Why not just get the full lineup?

I don't want to buy pads that I won't use.

Here's my pad/product lineup fwiw.

M105, WG Swirl Remover, Hyper Compound = Hybrid Orange or the Blue.
M205, WG Finishing Glaze, GPS, KAIO = Hybrid Blue or White
Sealant = Gray

Taking a little adjustment to make the transition from the LC HT to the LC Hybrid. Colors are very similar and therefore confusing imo. Obviously it depends on the condition of the paint and as always, less is more.

After speaking with Nick, he explained that the Orange is more aggressive then the HT Cyan, that the Hybrid Blue is about the same as HT Tangerine and the Hybrid White is slightly less abrasive then the HT Tangerine - so hopefully that helps.

So how would you think the orange and white flat pads compare in cut compared to the orange and white hybrid? My biggest thing is going to be able to use Menz PF as a one step and still finish well like I have been with the flat orange pad

Apparently both Hybrid and the HT pads are literally a cut above everything else - with respect to cut as well as how they finish. YMMV but I loved the HT pads and look forward to playing around with the Hybrid pads on the Flex. I have & used the flat white pads and they're definitely less aggressive then the HT Tangerine, right between the Tangerine and Crimison Pads. Hope that helps.
