Meguiars g110v2 speed control??

I just bought a used g110v2. Does the speed control adjust smoothly from 1 to 2 to 3, etc or is it supposed to click when each number is reached (similar to the GG6)?
Nothing seems wrong...I was just expecting to have a definitive stopping point with each increase and decrease of the speed control. Thanks.

It is adjusted smoothly. No detents between numbers.

The g110v2 has non definate stopping points. It does this so you can raise the opm in the middle some have this system and others have definative areas where it will click
