So last weekend I was using Meguiar's Ultimate Compound and I notices how quickly the product dried. So I started doing a massive search to see if there was a cure for this and found a thread that recommends putting a drop of Johnson & Johnson baby oil. Is this possible?

I've read that too, never tried it. It seems that the oil lubricates the compound, but does that affect cutting? I don't know as I haven't done the test myself.

Might be better off trying a spritz or two of detail spray when the compound starts drying...

IME UC does not flash as fast nor does it dust nearly as bad if it does start to flash.

Well I dont know if this places an important fact on the way the UC acted that day, but since it was raining and I live in a tropical island the humidity levels were thru the roof add the fact of the work lights adding heat.

One of the guys from AG used this method not long ago. I believe he put it in a mister bottle and just a fine mist on the pad before use and it eliminated the problem. Obviously too much would have an effect on cut. The information originally came from Mike P.

Is the mister bottle a small spray bottle, like the ones they recommend for Klasse?

Yes...and just one fine mist spray on the pad...I think it was Nick that started the thread...and gave credit to Mike for the idea. I have used one of those little mist bottles full of water and gave an occasional spray as needed to keep the product workable that was with 105. It was summer here and extremely hot and the work time of the 105 without water was extremely short. I know several people do use an occasional mist of water with 105.

I just bought this Wolfgang Pad Werks Polishing Pad Conditioner (http://autogeek.commerce-search.net/redirect?url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.autogeek.net%2Fwolfg ang-pad-conditioner.html), do you think it will work too?

Many have used baby oil to add additional working time to compounds like Meguiar's M105 and Ultimate Compound. While some may frown at this solution others have had good success and 1 squirt on the pad is all you need. :props:

I'm not going to tell you how I know.....

I would assume it will. I haven't used it or read much on it...
