I'm looking for a rollable florescent light that is adjustable in about every direction similar to the one below but preferably without the $435 price tag.

Anyone know of any good alternatives?

Not quite the same, but something to get light on lower panels, check out the Wobblelight brand.

Yes, and the Wobblelights are fluorescents. You're welcome.

You could build the support frame out of PVC pipe for not many $$$ and attach a standard shop light--often thought about doing this, but just haven't had the time.

Our PDR guy at the dealership has a neat homemade one. He took a 2-bulb fluorescent fixture and screwed it to a piece of 4" abs pipe. He then screwed a toilet flange to a plywood base about 18" square. The pipe just slides into the base for easy breakdown. Adding some casters to the base would make for an easy rollaround light.

These lights are EXCACTLY what I'm looking for but not at $500.All I need is a portable light for the horizontal surfaces for my vehicle corrections.
I have a twin head LED for the horizontal surfaces but something like the one in the video seems it would be more effective.I just can't justify a full correction detail to pay for it :(

Cheap Wheeled Microphone Stand: $60

Four foot shop light: $40

Some bags of sand or other weight for the stand: $cheap

a few minutes trying to figure out the right piece to adapt a mic mount to the back of a fluorescent shop light.... and maybe 10-15 bucks and a few laughs from the guys down at the music shop...

No promise it's as good as the real deal but it's way cheaper.

It's a bad a$$ light. Would be good for wrenching as well. Hoping to have someone say "x" makes a light just like that for only $250, vs the $430. :)

Thanks astronomy. Those are pretty cool as well but was looking for something more like I posted.

Made my own with two 4 ft fluorescent lights, square metal tubing and casters. Tubing is 1 1/2, casters are two ridged and two swivel. Lights are attached to 2 inch tubing and slide up and down and are independent of each other. Have light switches on both lights and made a storage rack that slides up and down with the bottom light for all my gear.

Works well with the lights independent of each other. Made it large enough so I can have it shine on a roof of a pickup. I don't have swiveling heads on mine though. That looks pretty cool.

I think i may just be lazy/cheap and screw a 3-4' fluorescent light fixture to my rolling detail cart. I mainly need something to roll around for the vertical panels. Ive got enough light for horizontal panels already.
