it has been offered many times that the solvents in carnauba wax might effect a previous layer. While spit-shinning may or may-not work, I would consider 1 coat or 2 for even coverage at most.

Two coats is safe to do then? Definitely?

I just looked at my soveran jar and it says it contains mineral spirits also. I thought you could layer soveran?

:p :D LOL! "incredibly awesome wax"

I think they use mineral spirits to break down the carnauba so it can be made in to a paste.

I would only think a wax with abrasives (cleaner wax) take away previous layers of anything. Can someone clear this out for us please? :)

Ok, so i got the scoop. Apparently, carnauba on its own is very hard. The mineral spirits used in Pinnacle's waxes are all natural, not the synthetic version used for cleaning. The purpose for the natural mineral spirits in the Souveran and the SSII is to keep it soft until it reacts with air. Once introduced to the air when it is on your car, the mineral spirits basically evaporate since there is so little present.

phew! i was genuinely upset when i first read this, forcing me to get the real scoop. good topic guys!
