I think it's fantastic. The only drawback is that the best way to clean the pads between sections is an air compressor.

love the mf system.......don't really like the D301 finishing wax,so I'll use something else.

Most of the time I can use the cutting pad with D300 and be lsp ready after the first step.If you need a little more refinement use 205 on the finishing pad it works very well.

what don't you like about D301?

I love the D301, but it doesn't last very long, seems like one wash kills the beading (although rain doesn't seem to bother it much). Most people after the hard work of polishing like to put their own LSP on. On my cars I usually use the D301 then top it a wash or two later.

So using the D300 then the D301 is much like using 105/205?
I use 205 much more than the 2 back to back.
I would always top my 205, would you not 'normally' top the D301?

The D301 is a "finishing wax", it's an AIO with some very fine abrasives to clean up any marring left by the D300, along with some "wax" for protection.

I have used this system a few times and love it. The results I have achieved are just great. The cutting I have got from the D300 and the cutting disc are great for removing deeper scratches and defects have blown me away. The finishing wax is alright I like the smell more than anything, but I usually use NXT 2.0.

I've never used the finishing wax but I just tried D300 for the first time this weekend and all I can say is "I'm a believer."

Before.

Nice results there Nick that usually the turn around I see with the cars I have done.

As I side note I have noticed the best way to clean the pads hands down is compressed air. It cleans oout all the dried product thats trapped in the fibers and fluffs the fibers right back up.
I have used a stiff pad brush but didn't like what was still be left behind.

Thanks. And, I agree... compressed air is the way to go for cleaning the pad on the fly.

That photo was pre-LSP. I let the client choose what they wanted for wax/sealant. They chose Meg's High-Tech Yellow Wax. It looks great on the black/blue pearl paint.

When you use the compressed air system to clean the pads, are you using an air compressor? Or a can of compressed air? I'm sure the air compressor will achieve more blowing power, but would a can of air work just as good? Thanks!
