Just got some BFCS and am going to use it on very nice red Accura.
They have water spots pretty bad and after polishiing the paint I thought I'd try the 4oz bottle of BFCS.
I did get the hand-sized blue MF pads with it and am glad I washed them first.
There was a tremendous amount of blue dye in the water after washing them.
I can only imagine applying that expensive sealant with a pad that's pumping out blue coloring.
Now I'm worried about anything but a (well-washed) white MF pad with this stuff.
Also curious about the small white cotton pads that I've seen folks use for Opti-coat and other super sealants.
I do understand that it's 'thin to win'.
Who's using this type of sealant and what was your pad of pref?

tks and have a great weekend!!

I've never had much problem just using a yellow foam applicator for WOWA sealants. You need to use just a small amount and wipe it in well. Unless the temperature is very low or the humidity very high, the product should flash almost immediately. You may see some high spots which last longer, if they don't disappear in a minute or so you may want to knock them down (spread them out more) with your damp applicator before they dry.

thanks Setec
foam's ok then.
just worrying about having a ton of sealant soaked into the applicator that I could use on the paint.
especially at the cost of these products.
got the colorant issue too on my mini-brain.
s'pose foam would eliminate that AND heavy absorption.
hey...mite be figuring this out...

what are the chances of that?

You can put the yellow foam applicator in a latex glove and wrap a blue Scott Towel around the glove.

Rsurfer......good one.
Like the foam idea AND the way to use it idea.

Think I'm onto something, thanks!
